Advanced care, close to LaGrange
LaGrange, the Troup County seat and home to LaGrange College, is the commercial center of Georgia's western corridor near the Kia manufacturing complex. It is a working city whose residents are used to driving for specialty care, usually north.
LaGrange is about 35 minutes from our Newnan office, a straight shot up Interstate 85 with no in-town driving at either end.
LaGrange sits far enough from Atlanta that specialty referrals often mean a full day off work. Newnan is the closer option: fellowship-trained bariatric, foregut and vein care about 35 minutes up the interstate, with surgery at the MBSAQIP accredited Piedmont Newnan.

Heartburn & GERD Care in LaGrange: common questions

Omnia Health treats GERD and hiatal hernias from our Newnan office, a short drive from LaGrange. Dr. Eduardo is a fellowship-trained foregut surgeon who offers medical evaluation, objective reflux testing, and procedural options including fundoplication and TIF when anatomy is contributing to confirmed GERD, with LINX coming soon.
Not always. PPIs are highly effective at reducing stomach acid and remain an appropriate long-term treatment for many people. What they cannot do is repair a hiatal hernia or restore a disrupted antireflux barrier, so the reflux is still ongoing, it just isn't acidic anymore. If they are no longer controlling your symptoms, or you would like to know whether a procedure could reduce how much medication you need, objective testing is what answers that. Patients from LaGrange start with an evaluation and testing, not with a decision about surgery.
