We focus on the procedures with the strongest evidence and outcomes today, the sleeve, bypass, SADI-S / duodenal switch, and revisional surgery. We do not place new adjustable gastric bands; instead, much of our revision work is the safe removal of problematic bands and conversion to a sleeve or bypass. Every procedure is performed minimally invasively, with da Vinci robotic assistance whenever it benefits you.

There is no single best procedure, the right choice depends on your BMI, medical conditions, reflux status and goals. The gastric sleeve suits most patients; gastric bypass is favored for severe reflux or type 2 diabetes; duodenal switch / SADI-S is reserved for higher BMI or severe metabolic disease. Dr. Eduardo recommends the best fit after evaluating you.
Yes. Dr. Eduardo performs bariatric surgery laparoscopically and with da Vinci robotic assistance whenever possible, small incisions, less pain and a faster recovery than open surgery.
We do not promote new adjustable gastric band placement, which is rarely chosen today. Most of our band-related work is safe removal and conversion to a sleeve or bypass, covered on our revision surgery page.
